An alternative humidity and temperature sensor for Itho CVEs that works together with the Itho CVE RFT WiFi add-on, or can be used as a replacement for a broken original sensor.
What is it used for?
If the original sensor is broken, or you want to retrofit a sensor into a CVE without a built-in humidity sensor with some tweaking, then this is the sensor you need
This sensor is 1-to-1 pin compatible with the original Itho sensor.
Retrofitting
With some tweaking this sensor can also be built into older CVE models that lack this sensor. These are roughly all Itho CVEs that support the WiFi add-on and have a blue lid.Here you can find an example of a tweaker who did this successfully:

Delivery
If you order this sensor in combination with a CVE add-on, we also supply a cable to connect the sensor. The CVE add-on has a connector for this sensor. If you want to use this sensor in combination with a non-CVE add-on, please send us a short email requesting the connector to be soldered free of charge.
When it is not needed
All recent Itho CVE models (with a light grey lid) have a humidity sensor built in as standard. With the add-on it is also possible to read this sensor via the add-on. You will then see the temperature and humidity in the add-on's web interface. This information is also available through the various APIs and integrations.
